A Wrenstar venture · 2024–2025 · Closed
Prebox.ai was an email-intelligence product for Gmail and Google Workspace. It turned a pile of unread messages into a single, prioritized snapshot — the key points of every email as bullets, every sender grouped at a glance, cleanup in one click. It was co-founded and led end to end: product, engineering direction, pricing, and go-to-market.
What it did
- One snapshot for the whole inbox — up to 200 unread emails folded into a single briefing.
- Intelligent summaries — the key points of every email extracted into bullet points.
- Senders at a glance — multiple emails from the same sender grouped together in one place.
- One-click cleanup — delete in bulk straight from the snapshot, no inbox digging.
How it was built
Prebox read the inbox through the Gmail and Google Workspace APIs and summarized with Gemini. A hybrid design — deterministic processing where rules were enough, the language model only where judgment was needed — cut token costs and briefing time. It was sold as a subscription, with positioning, pricing, and trial funnels owned end to end.
Status
Prebox.ai operated from September 2024 to December 2025 and has since closed. The prebox.ai domain now runs a different project — plain-English guides to AI. Prebox sits under Wrenstar, the studio that wraps every independent venture — the products that followed it are on the Wrenstar home page.
